Line can be interpreted in many different ways. There's the first thing that comes to mind, a single straight or curved line. There are outlines and lines within lines to make an art piece look 3-D and give it motion. The last type of line in art I would've thought of is the most inspiring: Line as an idiom.
By thinking of line in different ways, I realized that the curve, thickness, and length of a line can create or ruin an art piece. It can create motion and shape or make art appear unfinished or unbalanced.
I represented line by using a female fashion croquis as a canvas and adding Japanese and Cuneiform characters along with a multitude of tattoos and patterns. Canvas is unique and odd (I would never see someone like this in real life,) and I can say I'm proud of her for several reasons. The first is that I've never sight-traced a humanoid outline as accurately as I did here.
The only thing I dislike about her is the lack of balance on her left leg.
